This one will be short and sweet, but I had a client today who upgraded to Windows 10, set up their new VPN, and then couldn’t get into properties to uncheck the “Use Default Gateway” option on his VPN settings. When he clicked the Properties button, nothing happened.
Turns out this is a known bug in Windows 10. Here’s the fix, for this and other settings. Windows stores VPN settings in an INI file (which has the extension .PBK for some reason) located at:
Open this file in a text editor, such as Notepad, and find the setting called IpPrioritizeRemote. Set its value to 0 instead of 1, and your VPN should work as expected.
